The Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) announced on Friday that it has decided to extend the period for communicating the results of the Baccalaureate simulation until April 9, by amending the Calendar regarding the simulation of the written tests of the 2026 national Baccalaureate exam, taking into account the number of papers to be evaluated compared to the previously established period and the stage of the evaluation on Friday, April 3.
The ministry centralized the results recorded in the simulation, held between March 23 and 26, at the national level, by students in the final grades of the high school cycle.
"I convey my appreciation to all those who made it possible to carry out these simulations - important for students not only because they help them familiarize themselves with the conditions of conducting an exam, but also for evaluating their current level of preparation and for identifying what they still have to improve in the period remaining until the written tests in the summer. I encourage students to make the necessary efforts to prepare for the upcoming exams and to treat this important period for their academic and professional career with responsibility", declared Minister Mihai Dimian, according to a press release.
The simulation of the written tests of the national Baccalaureate exam was organized in 1,364 educational institutions.
The participation of the candidates in the tests was as follows:
Romanian language and literature: over 114,600 (over 101,000 in 2025);
Mandatory profile test: over 113,100 (over 99,900 in 2025);
* Optional profile/specialization test: over 111,100 (over 98,300 in 2025);
* Mother tongue and literature test: over 6,100 (over 5,500 in 2025)
"In total, in a shorter period allocated to the evaluation than in 2025, in the same context, until the moment of communication of this information, 763,750 evaluations were carried out (a paper having a minimum of two evaluations, a maximum of four, if a difference of more than one point is found between the two initial evaluators), approximately 11% more than in the simulations of the written tests of the 2025 national baccalaureate exam (when a total of 688,808 evaluations were carried out in a similar context)," states the cited source.
The MEC mentions that at the time of extracting the data from the evaluation platform for this synthesis - Friday, April 3, at 1:30 p.m. -, 96.88% of the papers were evaluated. The results were communicated to the county school inspectorates/Bucharest Municipality School Inspectorate by 2:00 p.m.
"Within the 1,364 educational units, the scanning and uploading of papers on the IT platform was ensured by over 15,000 assistant teachers. The evaluation is ensured by approximately 11,000 evaluator teachers. The platform functioned in optimal parameters throughout the entire duration of the processes," the press release reads.
According to the statistical reports provided by the IT platform, at the time of communication of this summary, the following situation is recorded for tests and grades until Friday:
Romanian language and literature: evaluated papers - 111,447, representing 97.2% of the total papers to be evaluated (101,433 papers evaluated in 2025), percentage of grades greater than or equal to 5: 76.98% (66.84% in 2025);
Compulsory subject of the profile (mathematics/history): evaluated papers - 111,800, representing 98.87% of the total papers to be evaluated (99,958 papers evaluated in 2025), percentage of grades greater than or equal to 5 - 64.36% (63.28% in 2025);
* Test of choice of profile and specialization (Disciplines: Human Anatomy and Physiology, Human Genetics and Ecology, Plant and Animal Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Physics, Philosophy, Geography, Informatics, Logic, Psychology, Sociology): evaluated papers - 105,093, representing 94.64% of the total papers to be evaluated (98,347 papers evaluated in 2025), percentage of grades greater than or equal to 5 - 73% (69.46% in 2025);
* Mother tongue: evaluated papers - 5,829, representing 94.58% of the total papers to be evaluated (5,554 papers evaluated in 2025) - percentage of grades greater than or equal to 5: 86.46% (82.5% in 2025).
"The results are in the process of being transmitted from the school inspectorates to each educational unit in the form of catalogs with final grades," the press release states.
The Ministry of Education and Research recalls that the written works of students who took the simulation of the written tests of the Baccalaureate exam are located in the educational institutions where the students took the written tests, and the teachers who teach the subjects in which the simulation tests were taken have access to the works of the students in the classes they teach.
Also, the managements of the educational units will make available to the teachers the evaluation forms transmitted from the Ministry of Education through the school inspectorates, to be used in the process of visualizing the works of the candidates.
