President of the Senate Mircea Abrudean highlighted on Friday in a message marking Romanian Gendarmerie Day that this institution consistently contributes to strengthening the sense of security among citizens.
"On the 176th anniversary of the establishment of the Romanian Gendarmerie, I express my deep appreciation for the dedication, courage and professionalism of those who have chosen to serve in the service of citizens, for their safety. In missions to maintain public order or in crisis situations, you are a reliable partner, always on the front line. You have my full respect for the integrity you demonstrate. The Romanian Gendarmerie consistently contributes to strengthening the sense of security among Romanian citizens, at a time of real challenges," Abrudean said, according to a press release published on the Senate's website.
The President of the Senate congratulated gendarmes for the way they have carried out their missions for over a century.
"I wish you every success in all that you do for Romania. Happy anniversary to the Romanian Gendarmerie, happy anniversary to Romanian gendarmes," Abrudean added.
