Three-month ROBOR down to 5.80% on Wednesday

The three-month ROBOR, which is used to calculate the cost of variable-rate consumer loans in lei, fell on Wednesday to 5.80% per annum, down from 5.81% per annum in the previous session, according to data published by the National Bank of Romania (BNR).

The six-month index, used to calculate interest on variable-rate mortgage loans in lei, dropped to 5.84% per annum from 5.85% per annum on Monday, while the 12-month ROBOR fell to 6.01% per annum from 6.03%.

As for the Consumer Credit Reference Index (IRCC), regulated by Emergency Ordinance 19/2019, it stands at 5.68% per annum, calculated as the arithmetic average of daily interbank transaction interest rates in the third quarter of 2025.
