Foreign Minister Oana Toiu will participate today in Brussels in a debate on the European Centre for Democratic Resilience, provided for in the framework of the "European Democracy Shield", an initiative launched in November 2025 by the European Commission.
The debate is part of the General Affairs Council (GAC) meeting.
The agenda of the meeting of ministers and secretaries of state for European affairs includes an exchange of views on the topics on the agenda of the next meeting of the European Council on March 19-20, 2026, with a focus on Ukraine, competitiveness and defence, the Multiannual Financial Framework 2028-2034 and the Middle East, according to a the Foreign Ministry (MAE).
At the request of the member states, the GAC agenda includes other topics, with Romania's Secretary of State for European Affairs, Africa and the Middle East in attendance.
