Romania is participating in the International Exhibition "Green Week" (Grune Woche) organized in Berlin, between January 16-25, 2026, where it will promote Romanian products registered on European quality systems as well as those in various stages of the European registration process.

"The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR) assumes the strategic role of supporting the competitiveness of local producers and of presenting to the international community the rural development policies and the excellence of Romanian agri-food products recognized at European level", according to a press release from the MADR, sent to AGERPRES on Friday.

This year's edition has a special significance, as the "Green Week" Exhibition marks 100 years of existence, celebrating a century of tradition, innovation and gastronomic diversity at an international level.

The MADR stand will also include representatives of the National Office of Vine and Wine Products (ONVPV) who will present a selection of wines with European recognition, representatives of the "Gusta din Bucovina" Association, who will promote authentic products from Bucovina, as well as representatives of Arca Romania Ltd, who will exhibit fish and vegetable dishes.

The "Green Week" Exhibition represents both a business platform and a festival of gastronomic traditions, with significant media impact at European and global levels. The event annually brings together over 50 participating countries, producers, processors, public authorities and professional organizations.

According to the final report of the 2025 edition, the exhibition brought together over 1,500 exhibitors from 50 countries, attracting approximately 310,000 visitors. A central point of the event is the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture, which brings together decision-makers to address the current challenges of the global agri-food sector.

Romania's participation in the "Green Week" Exhibition has become a tradition, the first presence being registered in 2005.

"Through this participation, MADR aims to promote policies and strategies in the field of agriculture, food industry and rural development, highlight Romania's agricultural potential, develop trade relations and stimulate exports on international markets, with a positive impact on competitiveness and balancing the trade balance", MADR representatives say in a press release.
