Patients injured in the road accident that occurred on Tuesday in the locality of Lugojel are haemodynamically stable, however their medical condition remains dynamic, Health Minister Alexandru Rogobete said, according to Agerpres.
'Following stabilisation and medical assessments, the patients are currently haemodynamically stable, under continuous monitoring and specialist treatment. The medical situation remains dynamic and is being closely supervised by medical teams,' the minister wrote on Facebook.
Three male patients aged 20, 20 and 28 were transported to the Pius Brinzeu County Emergency Clinical Hospital in Timisoara. After a full assessment carried out in the Emergency Department, they were admitted as follows: one patient to the Polytrauma Unit (Casa Austria) with multiple polytrauma injuries and bilateral pulmonary contusions, one patient to the Orthopaedics Department with a sacral wing fracture and one patient to the Neurosurgery Department with minimal subarachnoid haemorrhage and multiple contusions.
'First of all, I convey my condolences to the bereaved families and to all those affected by the tragic road accident in the locality of Lugojel. As a result of the incident, 10 victims were recorded, of whom, unfortunately, seven people lost their lives,' Alexandru Rogobete said.
The minister added that he is in direct contact with the Greek Minister of Health, given that those involved are Greek citizens, in order to coordinate the situation and ensure accurate information for the authorities.
Seven Greek citizens, supporters of the PAOK team, lost their lives on Tuesday in a serious road accident on DN 6 in the locality of Lugojel. They were travelling by minibus to Lyon, where their favourite team was due to play.
