Defence Minister Mihai Fifor will take part on Thursday and Friday in the meeting of NATO Defence Ministers, that is taking place in Brussels.
According to a press release from the Ministry of National Defence (MAPN), the agenda of the first day of the meeting features a presentation of the implementation stage of the allied posture of deterrence and defence, as well as ways to streamline it.
"For our country, a special interest is represented by the advanced allied presence dedicated to the Eastern flank and engaging more allies in its implementation. Another topic tackled during the first day will be that of equally dividing responsabilities within NATO (burden-sharing). Will also be deepened aspects related to projecting stability against terrorism, as well as progress made for launching a new training NATO mission in Iraq", reads the press release.
During the second day of the meeting, the main topic will be the cooperation between NATO and the European Union.
On the sidelines of NATO's ministerial meeting, there will take place the meeting of the countries that contribute to the anti-ISIS Coalition, led by United States Secretary of Defense James Mattis, MApN informs.
