Trade balance deficit increased by almost 1.96 bln euro, to 8.89 bln in the first nine months of the year as compared to the similar period of the year before, against the backdrop of the imports' rise by 11.8 pct and of exports by 9.2 pct, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS) sent to AGERPRES on Thursday.
January 1 through September 31, 2017, FOB exports totaled 46.597 bln euro and CIF exports - 55.485 bln.
The value of intra-Community (intra-EU28) trade exchanges in the first nine months of the year was 35.365 bln euro on the outbound and 42.108 bln euro on the inbound, representing 75.9 pct of both total exports and imports.
The amount of extra-Community exchanges of goods (extra-EU28) over the same period was 11.232 bln euro for exports and 13.376 bln euro for imports, representing 24.1 pct of total exports and imports.
January through September, The product groups with a significant share in the country's trade were machines and transport equipment (46.6 pct for export and 37.1 for import) and other manufactured products (33.6 for exports and 30.9 for imports, respectively).
