Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, president of the PNL, arrived in Constanta on Friday to discuss with several representatives of the county branch of the Liberals, in the context of the resignations announced in recent days by Bogdan Huţuca and Florin Mitroi.
The PNL chairman, Ilie Bolojan, was asked, upon entering the PNL county headquarters, what was happening at the Constanta branch level.
"Administrative and political problems that we are trying to solve," Bolojan replied, without giving any further details.
He said, however, that he would make a few statements after the meeting he was attending ended.
The meeting is also attended by the liberal mayor Vergil Chitac.
Regarding the resignation of the president of the Constanta County Council, the liberal Florin Mitroi, Vergil Chitac said upon entering the PNL headquarters that he believes there are two issues that brought Mitroi into an emotional state.
"Florin Mitroi, starting I think from May 2024, when he took shape and the party pulled him to participate in the elections, until now, he has had both administrative pressure on him, because the county means something different than the city hall in Valu lui Traian, which was a toy for him. Things move more slowly in the county, they are more complex, you have to allocate time, they do not unfold quickly and this pressure, let's say emotional, related to Bogdan Hutucă's resignation and, from my point of view, his takeover of PNL Constanta, is also coming at him. These two issues have brought him into an emotional situation," said the mayor of Constanta.
The leader of the PNL in Constanta, deputy Bogdan Hutuca, announced the other day that he is retiring from the position of head of the branch, and later the president of the Constanta County Council, Florin Mitroi, also announced that he is resigning from the head of the administrative institution. Florin Mitroi came to the leadership of the Constanta County Council after the elections in May last year, when he obtained almost 38% of the votes, 10 percent more than the next ranked candidate. Previously, he was mayor of the commune of Valu lui Traian for two decades.
