The 28 pupils from Focsani, stranded in Dubai, after the airspace was closed are currently "safe," Secretary of State with the Ministry of Education and Research Sorin Ion told AGERPRES on Monday.
"Through the Vrancea County School Inspectorate, we are in contact with the group there. Reports indicate that at this moment they are safe and well," the state secretary said, agerpres reports.
A group of 28 Romanian pupils from Focsani, accompanied by two teachers, became stranded in Dubai after Middle Eastern airspace was closed following the outbreak of the conflict in Iran.
