The photo exhibition called "Romania's history in masterpieces" will be opened on Wednesday at the Mukamlar Palace of State Cultural Centre in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, by the Culture and National Identity Ministry (MCIN), the National History Museum of Romania (MNIR) and Romania's Embassy in Turkmenistan, reads a release by the MNIR sent on Tuesday to AGERPRES.
The exhibition displays through the photographs a selection of the MNIR's heritage significant pieces, picked to illustrate each of the past ages, from the "Thinker" of the Hamangia culture, unearthed at southeastern Cernavoda, to the steel crown of the kings of Romania, from the Neolithic to the inter-war period - a circumnavigation of the Romanian past presented now, on the eve of the Romanian Centenary, to the Turkmen public.
"Romania's history in masterpieces" is part of the events dedicated to the Romanian Culture Days in Turkmenistan, by which 25 years of diplomatic relations between Romania and Turkmenistan are celebrated.
