Social Democratic Party (PSD) chairman Liviu Dragnea has left the National Anti-corruption Directorate (DNA) headquarters, where he was summoned for a hearing, being applauded by his supporters and members of the political party he leads.
Dragnea did not talk to the journalists.
He refused to say whether he is subject of a criminal investigation and over what crime.
The place was full of gendarmes - who were standing both at the entry into the institution, where the journalists were waiting - and on the opposite side, where there were standing Dragnea's supporters.
Dragnea himself was flanked by gendarmes both when entering and exiting the institution, so journalists couldn't get too close to him to ask questions.
Later on, one of the journalists has been identified by a gendarme, who said he only acted according to the law.
According to some judiciary sources, the PSD leader was summoned in a corruption case having to do with Tel Drum company. AGERPRES .
