Interior Minister Catalin Predoiu met on Thursday at the headquarters of the Department of Justice in Washington with US Attorney General Pamela Bondi, on which occasion the two officials highlighted the cooperation between the Ministry's structures and law enforcement agencies in the United States.
According to the Interior Ministry (MAI), the cooperation between the Ministry's structures and US law enforcement agencies was reviewed on this occasion, including the concrete decisions to develop this cooperation, discussed during the meeting between the Romanian minister and the leadership of the FBI, an agency operating under the coordination of the Department of Justice, agerpres reports.
'Following the meetings at the FBI and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the meeting with Attorney General Pamela Bondi continues the series of contacts within the Ministry's remit, aimed at strengthening cooperation between the Ministry's structures and American law enforcement agencies and the intelligence community. These ties enhance cooperation, and cooperation increases the Ministry's level of efficiency in protecting Romanian citizens and Romania's borders, the main areas of competence of the Ministry,' Catalin Predoiu is quoted in the press release as saying.
