Romania's Attorney General Augustin Lazar on Tuesday welcomed a Serbian delegation led by Miljko Radisavljevic, Serbia's deputy attorney general.
According to a press statement from the Romanian Attorney General's Office, the fact-finding visit of the Serbian delegation was conducted under a project to fight organsied crime in the Western Balkans, organised by the The Hague-based Centre for International Legal Cooperation (CILC), according to Agerpres.
The opening speech at the meeting was given by Lazar, who gave a general presentation of the Romanian legal system, as well as the organisation, activity and powers of the Public Prosecution Service.
Other topics discussed were intellectual property rights and international legal co-operation.
According to the cited source, the visit to the Attorney General's Office also had an important interactive component, as the Serbian prosecutors asked questions on the topics discussed.
The Serbian delegation also visited the Directorate for Investigation of Organised Crime and Terrorism, after on Monday it met representatives of the National Anti-Corruption Directorate (DNA).
