President of Senate Calin Popescu-Tariceanu welcomed on Wednesday Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Romania Manuel Larrotcha Parada, who is paying a presentation visit, occasion on which they reiterated the two countries' interest in strengthening bilateral relations.
According to a release sent to AGERPRES, the Senate President commended the new Spanish Ambassador for his appointment and assured him of the Romanian authorities' support in successfully meeting his mandate. Tariceanu underscored the role of the parliamentary diplomacy and the diversification of the bilateral dialogue at parliamentary level in view of developing the Romanian-Spanish relations.
The Romanian dignitary reconfirmed the special interest in deepening and strengthening the bilateral relations, mentioning the Strategic Partnership between Romania and Spain, which provides a comprehensive framework for the development of the sectorial cooperation in all areas of shared interest, the release mentions.
"Within the meeting there were briefly reviewed the very good relations between the two countries at economic and cultural level, with an emphasis the importance of contributing to the strengthening of ties between the two nations which the Romanian community residing and working in Spain has, fully enjoying the rights as European citizens - an example of good practices at European level," the release mentions.
