Romanian wrestler Lenard Istvan Berei won the silver medal in the 130kg Greek-Roman category at the U23 Senior European Championships on Tuesday evening in Novi Sad, Serbia, after losing to Georgian Zviadi Pataridze according to Agerpres
This is the second medal of team Romania in Novi Sad, after a silver won by Florin Tita also on Tuesday, in the 55kg category final, where he was defeated by Georgian Nugzari Tsurtsumia.
Compatriot Razvan Arnaut made it to the 60kg category final and he will wrestle Turkish Kerem Kamal on Wednesday.
In the 67kg category, Romanian Alexandru Solomon will fight on Wednesday in the bronze match the winner between Bulgarian Nestar Nedkov Nestarov and Belarusian Aliaksandr Liavonchyk.
In the 77kg category, Romanian Vlad Mariea lost to Azerbaijan's Nasir Hasanov in the repechages.
