In Romania, the religious communities live in peace and understanding, on Wednesday said in Abu Dhabi Prime minister Viorica Dancila upon visiting the Heroes' Monument Wahat Al Karama and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, according to a release by the gov't sent to AGERPRES.
In the context of the working visit paid to the United Arab Emirates 16 to 19 October, Premier Dancila laid a wreath at the Wahat Al Karama Memorial, a site which is a permanent tribute and war memorial to honor UAE's martyred soldiers and other Emiratis who sacrificed their lives for the service of the nation.
The Romanian Prime minister also visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque of Abu Dhabi, the biggest worship site in the UAE, that could shelter more than 41,000 believers. On this occasion, Viorica Dancila brought to mind the ethnic and religious diversity in the United Arab Emirates and appreciated the efforts carried out by the UAE authorities to integrate the religious minorities of this country.
"In Romania, predominantly in the southeastern Dobrogea, yet not only there, the religious communities have been living in peace and understanding for hundreds of years," said Dancila, in the context of a discussion about the exhibit regarding the 99 names of Allah, written calligraphically in kufic by Mohammad Mandi Al Tamimi.
The Premier specified that in Romania the Muslim community dates back to the 13th century and has always benefited from religious freedom, "being fully dedicated to living peacefully together with the Christian majority and the other religious minorities in Romania, based on joint understanding and mutual respect," the release adds.
