PSD (Social Democratic Party) leader Marcel Ciolacu on Monday said investments will exceed 7% of GDP next year.
"I know that last year we had almost 5.9% earmarked for investments, and this year we have 6.74%, very close to 7. After discussions with the Minister of Finance and Minister Grindeanu, this year you will see that we will exceed 7%. It is good that we have started with a little less and come up with something more. (...) Execution counts and not the proposal. Last year we wanted more and we had less. (...) We hope to end the year with 7pct," said Ciolacu, at the PSD headquarters.
Regarding the increase in pensions next year, Ciolacu said: "The social package was discussed as a condition for PSD to enter the government and the increase is 10pct. At this point they mention the 40pct again, of which we covered 14pct already and another 10pct now," he said.
