PSD (Social Democratic Party) president Sorin Grindeanu declared on Wednesday that the majority of those who spoke at the party's Bucharest-Ilfov regional meeting demanded that the social democrats move into opposition.

"On April 20, we have the vote and today we presented the current situation - both myself and my colleagues in the Government - starting with the deputy prime minister and continuing with the ministers present, the image of the governing, the self-assessment that they have made or are making regarding our presence in the coalition and in the Government. After that, we presented the scenarios that we can enter once the vote on April 20 is over. The debates in the hall continue. And you should know that the rhythm or tone, to be more accurate, is pretty much the same everywhere. Maybe here, in Bucharest, to draw a conclusion, by the time we left the hall, pretty much everyone who spoke here asked us to move into opposition. Almost everyone. But the vote will tell on April 20 what the PSD will do," Grindeanu said after the first part of the PSD Bucharest-Ilfov regional meeting.

He added that this is the party's sixth regional meeting and that there are two more - the North-West region and the West region -, which will take place on April 17 and April 18.
