The Strategic Partnership with the United States of America remains a fundamental pillar for Romania's stability and economic development, Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare said on Wednesday in a social media post.

Nazare had a working meeting at the Ministry of Finance with the U.S. ambassador to Romania, Darryl Nirenberg, and the U.S. ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle.

"We discussed joint strategic projects and ways in which we can strengthen economic cooperation and investments. Among them was the Vertical Corridor, an important project for the region, which will contribute to strengthening energy security and creating additional development opportunities," the minister wrote in his post.

According to him, the meeting was a good opportunity for coordination before the spring meetings of the IMF and the World Bank, "where we will continue to support Romania's economic interests and deepen collaboration with American partners."

"Romania is a loyal ally and an economic partner with significant potential, and the constant dialogue with the United States confirms the common commitment to identifying new development opportunities," the minister said.
