President Nicusor Dan will meet on Tuesday, at 12:00, at Cotroceni Palace, with the leaders of the governing coalition, the Presidential Administration announced.
Most likely, the local public administration reform will be discussed.
The leader of the UDMR, Kelemen Hunor, confirmed this meeting of the heads of the coalition parties with President Nicuşor Dan on Monday.
"I received the invitation for tomorrow, from 12:00, if I'm not mistaken. Of course, after the start of the parliamentary session, it was also appropriate for the president to meet with the coalition leaders. It is absolutely natural for this to happen, there is nothing wrong with it," the UDMR president said on Monday in Parliament.
He emphasized that "the president is a mediator." "This meeting is an absolutely normal meeting at the beginning of the parliamentary session. And if it weren't for that situation with the assumption of responsibility by local and central authorities, such a meeting would have been needed," said Kelemen Hunor.
Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, president of the PNL, presented on Tuesday morning, in a press conference, the modifications that should take place regarding the functioning of local administration in Romania.
