The works on the Bacau-Pascani section of the Moldovan Highway are approaching 40%, announced on Friday the general director of the National Road Infrastructure Management Company (CNAIR), Cristian Pistol.
"Work on the Bacau-Pascani section of the A7 (Moldovian Highway) is approaching 40%. The Romanian constructor (UMB Spedition) is mobilized on all three lots with over 700 workers and more than 450 pieces of equipment. On Lot 1 (Saucesti - Trifesti), 30.3 km long, the physical stage is 38.5%. Work on Lot 2 (Trifesti - Gheraesti), 18.99 km long, has reached a physical stage of 36%. On the Lot 3 construction site (Mircesti - Pascani), 28.09 km long, the physical stage is 36.2%", Pistol reported on his Facebook page.
Among the works being carried out on the entire section (77.38 km) are those for the construction of the roundabout junction that will connect the A7 with the A8 and for ensuring the connection of the Bacau Nord junction with the Bacau Bypass (VO).
According to the contract, the following will be built on the Bacau-Pascani highway section: 9 road junctions, 22 bridges and two overpasses.
"The contracts, financed through the PNRR, have a total value of 4.66 billion RON (excluding VAT), and the works must be completed next year (2026)," Pistol also wrote on the social media page.
