More than half of the Romanian Internet users (55 per cent) buy online at least once a month, worth notice being the fact that, among them, 61 per cent are people with university degrees, while those with a medium and sub-medium education accounted for 50 per cent, showed a quantitative study "Digital Evolution: Connected Consumer Monitor," on Thursday sent to AGERPRES.
The Bucharesters are the most active on the Internet when it come to online shopping, 62 per cent of them buying something online at least once a month. However, Romanians living in the rural areas are not that far behind, as one of two people choose to shopping online.
Men are more active than women when it comes to shopping online, at least once a month - 59 per cent versus 52 per cent. While analyzing the online behaviour of those who buy things from the Internet, depending on education, the research found out that 61 per cent of the people with higher education buy things online at least once a month, while the percentage for those with medium or sub-medium education is of 50 per cent.
By age, the research conducted by Exact Business Solutions discovered no significant differences compared with the national average (55 per cent). Thus, 58 per cent of the young people are used to buying items online at least once a month, while when it comes to the 31-45 years old category the percentage is of 55 per cent and 53 per cent, respectively.
