The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) firmly condemns the Saturday, October 27, the shooting at a synagogue in Pittsburgh, the United States of America, which caused numerous victims, reads a release of the MAE on Tuesday evening remitted to AGERPRES.
Moreover, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sends condolences to the families of the victims and voiced hope for the fast recovery of the wounded.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs firmly condemns any anti-Semitic gesture and supports the efforts of the international community in preventing, combating and sanctioning racial, xenophobic discrimination and intolerance," underscored the release.
Eleven persons died and six were wounded on Saturday morning, when a man started shooting the people in a synagogue in Pittsburgh. The author of the attack, Robert Bowers, 46 years old, was charged with 29 federal counts, according to an official release. He will be investigated, among other things, for anti-Semitic crime, and he risks receiving the death penalty, US Attorney General Jeff Sessions said on Saturday.
This is the most violent anti-Semitic attack that took place in the United States of America in the past decades.
