The chairman of the Romanian Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (FRCF), Gabriel Toncean, was appointed executive director of the World Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness, during the IFBB Congress in Santa Susana, Spain.
"I am honored to announce that, last night, during the Congress, I was appointed Executive Director of the World Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness! I thank my colleagues for the trust and especially I would like to thank the President of the IFBB, Dr. Rafael Santojna, because he was the one who supported and guided me throughout my activity. The dignity of Executive Director (function directly subordinated to the IFBB president), gives me the opportunity to synchronize, support and coordinate the activity of the federation around the world. This victory of Romania is a dream which I would never have had the courage to hope for. But God, my family and all of you, those who supported me, gave me the strength to achieve, which is why I thank you! My heart is and will always be one of a Romanian who loves his country endlessly! Go, Romania!" Gabriel Toncean posted on Facebook on Thursday.
Toncean stated that, at the congress, the president of the forum, Rafael Santojna, was unanimously re-elected for another 4-year term at the head of the IFBB.
