Education Minister Deca: Horrors of the past must never be repeated

Education is the way to learn the importance of tolerance, mutual respect and peace, states the Minister of Education, Ligia Deca, who claims that the Holocaust is not only a historical moment, but "is the expression of hatred and cruelty of people."

Ligia Deca expressed her solidarity with the Jewish people and the State of Israel.

"National Holocaust Remembrance Day, which we celebrate today, reminds us that the horrors of the past must not be repeated. However, even today we witness atrocities, such as the terrorist attacks in Israel. I express my solidarity with the Jewish people and the State of Israel. Condolences to the families of the victims! Education is the way to learn the importance of tolerance, mutual respect and peace. The Holocaust is not just a historical moment, but the expression of people's hatred and cruelty. Hate has no place in our world! I urge us to educate future generations in the spirit of tolerance, of combating any manifestations that may violate human rights and of knowing the historical truth!" Deca wrote on Facebook.
