The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) had a mixed opening on Monday, with most indices on the rise and RON 1.66 billion (EUR 327.84 million) worth of transactions performed in the first hour after the start of trades.
The main BET index, which tracks the most liquid 20 companies, picked up 0.48 percent, and the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares gained 0.46 percent, agerpres reports.
The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers inched up 0.27 percent, while the return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK was flatlining.
The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies opened 1.51 percent down, while the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG advanced 0.40 percent.
The BET AeRO index of the 20 representative companies on the AeRO market opened 0.26 percent lower.
According to BVB, the issuers to see the largest price rise were Romcab (10.15 percent), Green Tech International (+5.27 percent), and Vrancart (+4 percent).
Conversely, the issuers on a significant downward trend were Sinteza (-9.09 percent), Mecanica Ceahlau (-6.42 percent), and Artego (-4.44 percent).
