The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Wednesday's trading session lower on most indices, and total trading exceeded 126.93 million lei (24.91 million euros).
The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, depreciated by 0.31%, to 27,369.04 points, and BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Exchange, closed with a decrease of 0.32%.
The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, lost 0.02%, and the BET-NG, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, recorded a decline of 0.67%.
The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, depreciated by 0.17%.
Two indices closed Wednesday's session in the red, namely BET-FI, the SIF index, by 1.50% and the BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, by 1.53%.
The most liquid stocks were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions of 22.91 million lei, followed by OMV Petrom shares - 22.17 million lei and Romgaz shares - 8.69 million lei.
The best developments were recorded by the shares of Patria Bank (+7.44%), Carbochim (+5.84%) and Prebet (+4.06%).
The most significant decreases were recorded by the shares of Prefab (-7.53%), Green Tech International (-7%) and Turism Hoteluri Restaurante Marea Neagra (-4.59%).
