The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Friday's trading session higher, with transactions amounting to 10.37 million lei (2 million euro) 30 minutes into the session.
The main BET index, which tracks the development of the 20 most liquid companies, was up 0.69%, while the BET-Plus index, reflecting the development of the 43 most liquid shares listed on the BVB, saw an increase of 0.64%, agerpres reports.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, referring to the 25 most liquid shares, gained 0.62%, whereas the investment funds benchmark BET-BK rose by 0.73%.
The BET-FI index of financial investment companies (SIFs) was down 0.19%, while BET-NG, the index of the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, advanced by 0.59%.
According to BVB data, the biggest share price increases were recorded by Energopetrol Company (+14.50%), Armatura (+4.59%) and Bermas (+3.42%).
On the other hand, shares in Green Tech International (-6%), Sphera Franchise Group (-3.41%) and Longshield Investment Group (-1.67%) were trading lower.
