Meteorologists have issued a weather advisory for temporarily intensified atmospheric instability and strengthening winds, valid until Saturday evening across most regions.
According to the National Meteorological Administration, between 17 April, 10:00 and 18 April, 20:00, atmospheric instability will be temporarily pronounced in central, southern and eastern parts of the country, with periods of showers, locally accompanied by thunderstorms.
Rainfall will also be torrential at times, with amounts of 15-20 litres per square metre expected locally over short intervals, and exceeding 25 l/sqm in isolated areas. Hail is also possible in southern regions.
At the same time, winds will temporarily intensify on Friday (17 April) in western regions and across the rest of the country, particularly during rainfall, and on Saturday (18 April) in the east, south-east, mountainous areas and locally elsewhere. Wind speeds will generally reach 45-55 km/h, increasing to 60-80 km/h at high altitudes.
