Almost a hundred Romanians turned out to watch the documentary "The Greater Union - Romania at 100" documentary by the AGERPRES National News Agency at Cinema Palace in the western city of Oradea, as part of a national caravan.
The audience consisted of young people, including Moldovan students, military staff, historians, heads of autonomous public administration bodies, along with Greek-Catholic bishop Virgil Bercea.
A Moldovan student confessed, after watching the documentary, that "the Romanian ideal has become even stronger in his moods" and asked if the crew of directors is contemplating continuing this documentary with a second part.
"Our idea is to bring together increasingly more Romanians around this beautiful idea that Romania is more than just a country, Romania does not mean borders, it is tradition, love, being close to each other, regardless of where we go, whether in Romania or other countries," said Marilena Stanescu of the production crew.
The documentary will be presented in the following days in two Oradea high schools, at the City of Oradea Museum, as well as at a meeting of the university rectors from all over the country who will meet June 1-3, in Oradea for a convention of the National Council of Rectors.
After Oradea, the documentary film will travel to Galati, Constanta, Braila, Timisoara, as well as in other cities in the country.
"The Greater Union - Romania at 100" is made by Mihut Nastasache, Marilena Stanescu and Sergiu Olteanu; cinematography by Alfred Schupler, Sergiu Olteanu and Andrei Carlan; reporters: Marilena Stanescu, Mihut Nastasache and Camelia Moise; graphics, sound and editing by Andrei Carlan, technical assistant Alexandru Vintilescu.
