Companies intending to open a production base in the future Smart Specialisation Park located on the outskirts of Targu Lapus will benefit from a grant worth 2.5 million euro, Maramures County Council (CJ) President Gabriel Zetea announced on Wednesday.
"Why choose the Targu Lapus Smart Specialisation Park? It offers an ideal environment for innovation and development. The location provides easy access to infrastructure. Financial support is available through non-reimbursable government programmes. Grants of up to 2.5 million euro per resident. De minimis aid of 200,000 euro per resident. Innovation aid of 220,000 euro per resident, as well as attractive tax incentives. Modern infrastructure and state-of-the-art resources. Direct collaboration with local authorities, academic institutions and private partners,' said Gabriel Zetea.
According to him, the Targu Lapus Smart Specialisation Park, which spans 10 hectares of land, represents a real development opportunity for businesses and the local community, being the first investment of its kind in the area.
'Targu Lapus is now on the economic opportunity map of Maramures thanks to a project focused on innovation, investment and job creation. The Smart Specialisation Park is not just a business space, but a driver of development for the entire region. The project is supported by ADR Nord-Vest [North-West Regional Development Agency], through the North-West Regional Programme, and is funded by the European Union's European Regional Development Fund (ERDF),' Gabriel Zetea added.
The total value of the project is 29,473,591.43 lei, of which 9,191,160.79 lei is funded through the European Rural Development Fund (ERDF) and 1,621,969.55 lei is from national contributions.
In Maramures County, the County Council, through the company managing these investments, is set to operate a total of five smart parks located on the outskirts of Baia Sprie, Seini, Somcuta Mare, Farcasa and Targu Lapus.
