The president of the Romanian Dance Sport Federation, Vasile Gliga, was re-elected on Sunday, in Bucharest, as vice-president for marketing of the World Dance Sport Federation (WDSF).
"Mr. Vasile Gliga, president of the Romanian Dance Sport Federation, was re-elected vice-president for marketing of the World Dance Sport Federation (WDSF). This is an international recognition of the professionalism, involvement and vision of development that Mr. Vasile Gliga brings to the service of dancesport both in Romania and worldwide! We congratulate him with respect and pride for this new mandate and wish him good luck ahead," informed the Romanian Dance Sport Federation on Facebook.
"As Vice President of the Education Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, I strongly affirm and promote the importance of practicing sports in all schools, for the way our children develop. Our children need movement, but also rhythm. Balance. Discipline. Joy. And dance shapes the body, but also character. It opens the mind and trains the heart", said Dumitrita Gliga during the event in Bucharest.
During the General Election Assembly of the World Dance Sport Federation (WDSF), Shawn Tay (Singapore) was elected president, Nenad Jeftic (Serbia) first vice president, and vice presidents were elected: Tony Tilenni (Australia), Maris Vainovkis (Lithuania), Antoni Czyzyk (Poland), Laura Lunetta (Italy) and Vasile Gliga (Romania).
Vasile Gliga was reconfirmed, in 2024, as president of the Romanian Dance Sports Federation, for the seventh term, and on Sunday he was elected for the fourth term as vice-president of the world forum.
