The Coast Guard has announced that border police officers identified metal debris on the beach near the locality of Tuzla which appears to belong to an unmanned aerial vehicle, with no visible markings.
"On 12 February 2026, following a 112 emergency call, Coast Guard border police officers identified metal fragments on the beach near Tuzla which appear to originate from an unmanned aircraft, with no visible inscriptions," said Coast Guard spokesperson Andrei Ene.
According to him, investigations are being carried out in cooperation with the relevant authorities, under the coordination of a prosecutor from the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Constanta Court of Appeal.
A drone was discovered on Thursday on the beach between Costinesti and the Tuzla lighthouse, after a member of the public alerted the authorities, who attended the scene to conduct checks.
