PNL MP Raluca Turcan stated on Monday, regarding the solidarity package requested by PSD, that if there is responsibility, the budgetary impact of these measures must firstly be analyzed.
"I believe that the answer must start from the budgetary impact of these measures proposed by PSD, because, at the moment, it is obvious that some huge progress has been made to right the imbalances created over time in terms of public finances. Therefore, if we are responsible, we must first and foremost look at the impact of the measures and, after that, if they are sustainable and we do not want to blow up everything that has happened so far, obviously they can become law", Turcan said in Parliament, when asked whether PNL supports the solidarity package requested by PSD.
Asked about the adoption of the public administration package at the same time as the economic relaxation measures, Raluca Turcan said: "When we talk about a package for which the Government assumes responsibility, it is absolutely natural that there is consensus in the governing coalition".
"So, the recovery package, combined with the public administration package, should have the coalition's consensus and be adopted before the state budget law", Turcan also said.
PSD decided on Sunday, in the meeting of the National Political Council, to support the adoption, in an emergency regime, of the economic recovery package, along with a solidarity one, which aims at measures to protect pensioners and other vulnerable categories, "in the face of the pressures generated by the accelerated increase in the cost of living".
