Prime Minister Mihai Tudose states that an "honorary mission" of the Government, of the political class, is to provide the children of Romania with "a life as good as possible" and to assume responsibility that these grow up and develop "in a society of rights, freedoms and equal opportunities".
"I am glad that today, on the International Day of Children's Rights, children all over the world and in Romania ?are taking the power' and are telling their point of view. I think this should happen more often. Why? Because we, the adults, talk more about today - that is for the present - the children speak for the future, for tomorrow, and their voice must be heard. It is our honorary mission to provide children in Romania with a better life. It is our responsibility to make sure that they develop and grow up in a society of rights, freedoms and equal opportunities," the prime minister wrote on his Facebook page on Monday.
The prime minister addresses in the context thanks to UNICEF Romania's representatives for their constant involvement in the children's initiative.
"I thank UNICEF Romania representatives for their constant involvement in this beautiful and generous initiative!", says Tudose.
The prime minister mentions in his message also one written by a 10-year-old girl: "Below I invite you to read Laura's message (aged 10):" If I were a prime minister, I would talk to all the parents and ask them to spend more time with their children, play, run with them, be there for them."AGERPRES .
