On Tuesday, in plenary, the senators held a moment of silence in memory of coach Mircea Lucescu, who died a week ago at the age of 80.

"I propose that we hold a moment of silence in memory of Mircea Lucescu, for all the contribution he made to Romania's image in the world," said the leader of the PSD senators, Daniel Zamfir.

AUR Senator Cristina Dumitrescu proposed a moment of silence in memory of AUR deputy Dan Artimon, who died on Sunday.

"As of Sunday, Parliament has one less deputy, a man of rare gentleness, a man who has always lived with Romania in his soul and fought for it. Please, let's hold a moment of silence for the deputy from Arad, Dan Artimon," said Cristina Dumitrescu.
