The motion of censure initiated by AUR will not be related to the tensions in the coalition or to the possible dissatisfaction of the PSD, but will target the entire activity of the Bologna Government, declared on Tuesday the leader of the AUR senators, Petrisor Peiu.
He specified that he discussed through messages with the parliamentarians of the PACE - Romania First group.
"I'll tell you what I told them, they sent me messages: our calendar has nothing to do with what PSD is doing. The first issue. We are not in any way related to the quarrels in the coalition. We criticize the performance of the Bolojan government as a whole. I said that we would like to have a motion of censure, around or after May 13 inclusive, in order to be able to account for three consecutive quarters of economic decline. We have had three quarters since this government has been in office. We will have three quarters of economic decline. It is an objective basis for a motion of censure. We are making a motion of censure because we show that the Government has a poor economic performance, that there is no longer economic growth, we have economic decline, we have a decrease in the population's income, we have a freeze on pensions. This is the basis for a motion of censure - public policy," explained. Peiu in Parliament.
He emphasized that AUR does not base its actions on disputes within the coalition.
"Maybe the PSD is dissatisfied with the fact that I don't know what people supported by the PSD are not appointed to various positions, to the heads of services or in other parts. We have an objective basis - the fact that this government has a poor performance in governing, in its capacity as administrator of the country. We do not relate to the whims of a political marriage, but we relate to an objective reality. And we have an alternative program of governance with which we come forward all the time and say: "This is what the Bologna government delivered, this is what we offer you. Dear Romanians, compare!" And in this sense, we are asking through the motion of censure for the vote of parliamentarians - to compare the two offers. .(...) We can initiate it this month, but we will submit it on the calendar that I said, so that it will be discussed around May 13 or after or when we have the official result of this economic contraction for three quarters in a row. I repeat, our calendar is based on objective bases and contesting the government's policies. It does not take into account the PSD's priorities. PSD can introduce its own motion of censure, it has enough votes, it does not depend on us," the leader of the AUR senators conveyed.
