Duoul românesc Alexandru Jecan/Bogdan Pavel s-a calificat joi în semifinalele probei de dublu masculin din cadrul turneului challenger Poznan Open de la Poznan, Polonia, premiat cu 145.250 de euro, după ce a învins duetul format din Victor Cornea și polonezul Karol Drzewiecki, cu 7-6 (7/4), 4-6, 10-7.
Cornea și Drzewiecki, cap de serie numărul doi, au pierdut într-o oră și 41 de minute, deși conduceau cu 4-1, 6-4 în super tiebreak.
Jecan și Pavel nu și-au creat nicio ocazie de break în acest meci. Cei doi au obținut 2.520 de euro și 36 de puncte ATP la dublu, iar în semifinale îi vor înfrunta pe sud-americanii Luis David Martinez (Venezuela) și Facundo Mena (Argentina).
Pentru prestația lor de la Poznan, Cornea și partenerul său au câștigat 1.470 de euro și 20 de puncte ATP la dublu.
