The Romanian Police report that seven people convicted or wanted under preventive arrest warrants have been repatriated under escort, including a woman on the international "most wanted" list, sentenced to 15 years in prison for human trafficking and forming an organised criminal group, Agerpres reports.
On 30 December, a 47-year-old woman from Gorj County was extradited from the United Kingdom under a warrant issued by the Gorj Tribunal. She is serving a sentence of 15 years and eight months for trafficking in minors, human trafficking, pimping and forming an organised criminal group.
On 29 December, a 44-year-old man from Iasi County was returned from France. He was internationally wanted for forming an organised criminal group, migrant smuggling, human trafficking, smuggling, incitement to aggravated theft and aiding an offender, and is to serve a 12-year prison sentence under a warrant issued by the Iasi Tribunal.
On the same date, a 31-year-old man from Ialomita County was brought back from Germany. Wanted for offences related to road traffic and fiscal regulations, he is to serve a sentence of three years, one month and 20 days under a warrant issued by the Constanta Court.
Also on 29 December, police returned a 26-year-old man from Arges County from Spain. He was internationally wanted for road traffic offences and is to serve a one-year prison sentence under a warrant issued by the Constanta Court.
On 30 December, a 29-year-old man from Olt County was extradited from Italy. Wanted for pimping, he is subject to a preventive arrest warrant issued by the Dolj Tribunal.
On the same day, a 32-year-old woman from Gorj County was brought back from the United Kingdom. Internationally wanted for trafficking in minors, human trafficking and forming an organised criminal group, she is to serve a sentence of 15 years and eight months under a warrant issued by the Gorj Tribunal.
In addition, a 23-year-old man from Iasi County was returned from Spain. He was internationally wanted for drug trafficking and is subject to a preventive arrest warrant issued by the Iasi Tribunal.
