The recent developments in the agri-food trade and their implications for EU member states will be analysed on Monday, in Brussels, at the Agriculture and Fisheries Council (AgriFish) meeting.
A Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR) release informed that Romania will participate in the meeting with a delegation made up of Secretary of State Violeta Musat and the director general of the General Directorate for Rural Development - Managing Authority for the NRDP and CAP Strategic Plan, Daniela Rebega.
"The Council's agenda includes topical matters, including a debate on the vision for agriculture and the food sector, one year after its presentation by the European Commission. Recent developments in the agri-food trade and their implications for member states will also be examined," the MADR release mentioned.
Another key point is an exchange of views on the energy transition in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors, in the context of European sustainability objectives.
