Romanian cyclist Vlad Dascalu (Trek - Unbroken XC) won the Olympic cross-country event at the Erandio Green Series XCO mountain bike competition, held on Sunday in Erandio, Spain, with a time of 1 hour 25 minutes 16 seconds.
This victory earned Dascalu 30 points in the world rankings.
Second place went to Spaniard Miguel Diaz Perez (1:26:31), while another Spaniard, Inigo Sagardoy Zunzarren, finished third (1:27:09).
A total of 46 cyclists took part in the competition.
