The Prime Minister's Control Body on Tuesday initiated "a documentation (verification) action" concerning the manner in which medical treatment is provided and the way in which the causes for the Arges County babies' gastrointestinal illness outbreak are being investigated.
"The action is aimed at the observance of the procedures in the medical units in Arges County and Bucharest, the promptness of the assistance granted and the manner in which the epidemiological investigation is being conducted. Subsidiarily, also in view will be the possible nosocomial infections in the medical units of Arges County where the babies were hospitalised first," shows a Government release sent to AGERPRES
