President Klaus Iohannis attends Monday through Friday in New York the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly.
On Monday, the Romanian president will participate in the traditional reception offered by US President Donald Trump and wife Melania in honour of the delegations' heads attending the UN General Assembly, while on Tuesday he will attend the opening of the general debates' top level segment of the 73rd session of the UN GA, focused on "Making the United Nations relevant to all people: global leadership and shared responsibilities for peace, equitable and sustainable societies".
