The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Friday's trading session lower across all indices, with turnover amounting to 7.75 million lei (1.5 million euro) 40 minutes after the start of trading, according to Agerpres.
The main BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, was down 0.20%, while the BET-Plus index, which shows the performance of the 43 most liquid shares listed on the BVB, recorded a decline of 0.19%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, lost 0.21% of its value, while the benchmark for the performance of investment funds, BET-BK, fell 0.39%.
The BET-FI index of financial investment companies was down 0.04%, while BET-NG, the index of the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, recorded a drop of 0.48%.
According to BVB data, the biggest increases in share value were recorded by Artego (+6.93%), Simtel Team (+3.61%) and Transgaz (+2.50%).
On the other hand, declines were recorded by the shares of Prefab (-14.29%), Santierul Naval Orsova (-3.47%) and Erste Group Bank AG (-2.17%).
