Prime Minister Viorica Dancila on Monday sent a letter to President Klaus Iohannis asking him again to issue the presidential decrees by which Lia Olguta-Vasilescu to be appointed Deputy PM, Minister of Regional Development and Public Administration, and Mircea-Gheorghe Draghici - Minister of Transport, according to Agerpres.
"Considering the fact that the two proposals respect the provisions of the Romanian Constitution, republished and the applicable laws, I reiterated my request for the President to issue the presidential decrees by which Lia Olguta-Vasilescu to be appointed Deputy PM, Minister of Regional Development and Public Administration, and Mircea-Gheorghe Draghici - Minister of Transport and, at the same time, to cancel the effects of the decree of the Romanian President no. 46/2019, on the designation of a member of the Government as interim minister and of the decree of the Romanian President no. 47/2009 on the designation of a member of the Government as interim minister," reads a letter of the PM.
Last Thursday, the head of state told the PM that the two proposals still don't meet the legal criteria, so that he cannot issue the decrees.
He sent a letter to PM Dancila in reply to her address of January 10, by which she reiterated the proposal of appointing Lia Olguta-Vasilescu as Deputy PM, Minister of Regional Development and Public Administration and Mircea-Gheorghe Draghici as Minister of Transport.
The head of state claimed that the PM undertook through that address the meeting of all legal criteria for the proposed persons.
