Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan travelled on Wednesday morning to the National Bank of Romania (BNR) for talks with the bank's governor, Mugur Isarescu, government sources confirmed to AGERPRES.
The discussions are expected to focus primarily on the drafting of the 2026 state budget and the budget deficit.
Last week, Prime Minister Bolojan held working meetings with several ministers from his cabinet as part of preparations for the 2026 budget.
The head of government announced on 13 January that the 2026 state budget should be adopted by the end of February.
