The new ambassador of the United States to Romania, Darryl Nirenberg, will present his letters of credence on Tuesday.
According to the schedule announced by the Presidential Administration, at 14:00 the U.S. ambassador-designate Darryl Nirenberg will be received at the Cotroceni Palace by President Nicusor Dan, formally beginning his term in Bucharest.
Nirenberg was confirmed as U.S. ambassador to Romania at the end of last year. During his November 19 hearing before the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, he emphasized that the partnership with Romania has never been more significant.
