The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, discussed on Friday morning with representatives of the Spanish Ministry of Industry about the development and stimulation of the production of medicines and medical consumables at the national level.
"This morning I had a working visit to the Spanish Ministry of Industry, together with my counterparts here, both at the management and technical levels. The discussions focused on an essential topic for the future of health systems: the development and stimulation of the production of medicines and medical consumables at the national level. Spain has been running an innovative program for years - Pro-Farma - which supports the domestic production of medicines and medical devices, with clear benefits: stability for the health system, faster access for patients and a stronger pharmaceutical industry," Rogobete wrote on Facebook.
He mentioned that he agreed with the Secretary of State in the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Jordi Garcia Brustenga, to start the procedures for signing a Memorandum of Collaboration between the two ministries, which would allow the exchange of expertise and good practices in order to develop a similar program in Romania.
