INHGA: Code Yellow for floods in seven river basins, until Thursday afternoon

The National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management (INHGA) issued a Code Yellow warning for flood on Monday, valid until Thursday afternoon in seven river basins in Transylvania, Maramures and Crisana, agerpres reports.

According to the quoted source, between January 3, 18:00 - January 6, 16:00, there will be significant leaks on slopes, torrents and streams, rapid floods with possible effects of local floods and increases in flows and levels, as well as overruns in the warning quotas, on the rivers from the following hydrographic basins: Viseu, Iza, Lapus (Maramures County), Tur (Satu Mare County), Somesul Mare (Bistrita-Nasaud County), Crisul Negru - S.H. Beius (Bihor County) upstream basin and Aries - S.H. Baia de Aries (Alba County) upstream basin.

Dangerous hydrological phenomena can occur with higher probability and intensity between January 4, 20:00 - January 5, 00:00 on some rivers in Maramures and Satu Mare counties.
